Ah there you are, have a seat here quickly! The pastries are growing stale and the tea is losing it's heat! I see someone had a little rowdy night last night and decided to sleep in, eh? Oh no need to apologize, it's quite alright, it's just Sunday Tea after all. You're quite lucky the Queen of hearts had an important croquet match with the king this morning and couldn't make it or she would be yelling "OFF WITH YOUR HEAD" at you. Thank goodness she isn't here, I don't think that my ears could take that abuse at this hour. Come now, gather your goodies and let's settle into today's Challenge.
Today is a rather odd Challenge day, as I am asked to share with you my least favorite Classic. The problem I have with this is that the Disney Classics are just that...Classics! They are all magical, full of wonderful characters, and often teach/remind the audience of important life lessons. To pick a "least favorite" just seems sort of wrong in my Disney loving eyes. But alas, this is Challenge and we must follow the rules. From my childhood, I can say that Bambi didn't often get replayed in my VCR.
It's not that I didn't fall in love with the characters, it's just that at a young age, I think it was just too much to handle. Bambi and his cute friends Thumper the Rabbit and Flower the Skunk romp around until winter time comes and then BOOM Bambi's mother is shot by a hunter! Fun's over folks! We then watch Bambi mourn her death, and yes eventually things lighten up and he falls in love then another terrible thing happens: A huge fire takes over the forest. I know it's just a movie but ever since that movie, I have no desire to eat any animal that was in that movie. I know it's weird. I mean, I'm not a meat person that much anyways, but all I can think of when Prince Rich or anyone else mentions hunting is what happened to Bambi's mother. It just makes me feel horrible. Am I missing out in life? I don't think so.
Oh this Challenge put me in a sour mood. I think I will go take a shower and sing like I'm Ariel to get back in the Disney Spirit. Oh and before I forget, I have an announcement for you all tomorrow! Make sure you stay tuned for it! Here, take a travel mug of tea with you, you look like you need it more than I do. Have a magical day and remember, Wonderland is but a Daydream away!
