Good afternoon friends! I do hope you've been gathering goodies for a most fabulous weekend filled with tea and friends! This brief little meeting is to share something with you. As you are aware, I am taking part (I hope you are too!) in the 30 Day Disney Challenge! Each day we can share our likes and dislikes on some Disney topics! Today's topic of discussion is something near and dear to my heart. Today I will share with you my favorite Disney princess!
Before I reveal my all time favorite princess, I would like to share a little back story of the Disney Princesses. Disney has been associated with fairy tales from the beginning. In recent years, Disney has capitalized on the popularity of the princesses as a group and has released products that cater to those who love the princess as a whole group. The "original" Disney Princesses were Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora (Briar Rose), Ariel, Belle (married a prince), and Jasmine. These lovely ladies are considered the "All-Stars" in my eyes because they are a part of "Classic Disney". However, in keeping with the mindset of Disney, all girls/women should be princesses. In addition to the "All-Stars", more well known ladies were added to the bench of Disney Royalty. The new additions were Pocahontas, Mulan, Tiana, and Rapunzel.
After seeing all these lovely ladies recognized, I realize that someone is missing. That's right! Ms. Alice has taken on the role of the letter "y" with the vowels. Confused? Let me explain. The vowels in the English language are "A,E,I,O,U and SOMETIMES Y". As for the Disney Princesses, Ms. Alice is SOMETIMES considered a member of the Disney royal family. She has been featured in some Disney media as a princess, but never has officially been given the title as Princess.
Oh my how I've drifted off track here. This was not supposed to be a rally for Ms. Alice, but rather a celebration of my favorite Disney Princess. Although it is very hard to choose just one lovely lady for this honor, I know I have to. I do have favorite qualities of each princess, but when push comes to shove, my all time favorite is....
Briar Rose, otherwise known as Princess Aurora! This lovely lady had her royal status hidden from her for 16 years, and grew into a kind hearted, wonderful young woman with not an ounce of hate in her. She loves all things about life, and especially loves her animal friends. She also sings one of my favorite Disney tunes. I know you, I've walked with you once upon a dream.....
Have a magical day friends and remember, Wonderland is but a daydream away!
