Today, like most Mondays will feature 3 challenge days in 1 post, because as you know, things in Wonderland are very unpredictable. As usual, I had a hard time picking just one for each topic, so some of the topics I want to share with you will have a few items. For our first item of business, I would like to share my favorite original character. This one was a little tricky because growing up with Disney, I learned to love every original character. However, one of ma favorite Disney Memories is reading a book called The Mystery of the Missing Peanuts starring another "mad" friend. Detective Donald Duck uses his special puzzle solving skills to figure out which animal is stealing peanuts. I love Donald both as a super sleuth and his often unpredictable, rather hot headed self! I mean, how cool can you be when you can go without pants and get away with it!
My next story I would like to share with you is a tale as old as time. My Favorite Disney Song is without a doubt "Beauty and the Beast". The first movie my Dad took me to in the movie theaters was Beauty and the Beast so this song will always hold a special place in my heart. This film is so special to me that when it was re-released in 3D a few months back, I surprised my Dad and took him with me to go see it! We even got the special edition 3D glasses! I even intend on having this song play at my wedding!
As for picking out my favorite Disney Love Song, this was my greatest challenge yet! There are so many amazing and romantic songs out there! It is next to impossible to pick just one, especially when Disney even has love song soundtracks! However, for the sake of challenge, I managed to pick my top 3! My first is "Beauty and the Beast" which we just discussed, and my second is "Once Upon a Dream" from Sleeping Beauty. This song is so beautiful, not only the lyrics, but also two strangers falling in love with each others song in the woods. Imagine dreaming your whole life about your "prince" and finally finding him and sharing your innocent love with each other for the first time!
Rounding out my top 3 is another Disney Classic. The thing I like about a lot of the Disney Songs is that they usually begin with casual conversation then BAM a full fledged musical number. Case in point, "Can you feel the love tonight" from the Lion King. Timon and Pumbaa find their friend falling in love very quickly and they realize that they will no longer be the trio they once were. Things will change forever between the three of them, but another great relationship will be born between Simba and Nala. Of course in the end, all remain friends and all is right with Simba standing on Pride Rock.
Talking about all these Disney songs has got me in quite the musical mood! I hope the rest of your day proves to be a Zip-a-dee-doo-da day!
